Wood&Stone

Calceranica al Lago, 2024

Brushed lacquer, textured oak, CalceBianco Laminam porcelain stoneware

This project is born from the fusion of minimalist design and warm materials, resulting in a modern and welcoming kitchen designed to enhance every moment with elegance and comfort. The smooth, hand-brushed finishes and the clean lines of the cabinetry blend seamlessly with the wooden flooring in the living area, creating a harmonious balance between modernity and natural warmth.

The Paravento botanical wallpaper by Wall&Decò, designed by fashion designer Antonio Marras in 2021, adds a distinctive touch of character and personality, while contemporary pendant lights offer a soft and refined atmosphere.

The central island, with its CalceBianco Laminam porcelain stoneware top, stands out as the functional and visual heart of the space, surrounded by hand-brushed lacquered furniture in the warm “Truffle” shade by Painting the Past, featuring an essential, understated design.

A distinctive feature of the project is the artisanal handles, meticulously crafted by the Brescian company Fama and set into a niche designed specifically to accommodate them. Positioned on the full-height oak reclaimed wood doors, these elements enhance the tactile richness of the material while contributing to a clean, sophisticated aesthetic—an expression of craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Large windows frame the view of the garden and lake beyond, allowing natural light to flood the space and create dynamic play of light and shadow that accentuates textures and volumes. The dining area, featuring a round table with a sculptural base and Tati chairs by NewLife Contract, invites convivial gatherings in a refined yet relaxed atmosphere.

Every element is designed to unite form and function: from the integrated appliances to the dark bronze contrast handles, from the thoughtful material palette to the composition of spaces, everything comes together to shape a kitchen that serves as the vibrant heart of the home—deeply connected to the rhythms of life and the surrounding nature.
